Vacation Care Program
School holidays are a chance for children to take a break from the classroom, spend time with friends and try something new. Our Vacation Care Program provides school-age children with a safe, welcoming place to spend their holidays, with a mix of activities, adventures, creativity and plenty of time to have fun.
Designed with busy families in mind, our program gives children the opportunity to enjoy their school holidays while parents have confidence that they are well cared for throughout the day.
What Does Vacation Care Include?
Our Vacation Care Program offers a varied program of activities and experiences designed to keep children active, engaged and entertained throughout the school holidays.
Depending on the program, children may take part in:
- Excursions and incursions
- STEM activities and experiments
- Cooking and food-based activities
- Arts and crafts
- Sports and active games
- Music, drama and creative activities
- Team-building games and group challenges
- Outdoor play and exploration
- Movies and quieter activities
- Child-led creative and recreational play
We aim to provide a balance of structured activities and free time, allowing children to get involved in the things that interest them while also having opportunities to relax and socialise with friends.
Excursions and Incursions
School holidays are a great opportunity to take learning beyond the usual routine. Our Vacation Care Program may include excursions and incursions that give children the chance to explore new places, meet new people and experience something different.
Activities may include visits to parks, educational venues, museums, movies and other local experiences, as well as special visitors and activities hosted at the centre.
Where excursions are offered, families will receive the relevant information and requirements in advance.
Learning Through Fun
Vacation Care isn’t about recreating the school day. Instead, we provide opportunities for children to learn through hands-on experiences, creativity, exploration and play.
Cooking can introduce children to practical skills and new ideas. STEM activities encourage curiosity and problem-solving. Sports and team games develop cooperation and confidence, while art, drama and creative activities give children space to express themselves.
The aim is simple: children can have fun, try something new and develop skills along the way without it feeling like another day at school.
Meals and Snacks
Children are provided with nutritious meals and snacks during their time in the Vacation Care Program, helping them stay fuelled and ready for the day’s activities.
Families will be provided with information about meals, snacks and any dietary requirements when booking.
